If you suspect your water has broken, you should go to the hospital and get checked out. You will probably start labor soon, but if you don't, you can increase the risk of your baby getting an infection before it is born.

You more than likely urinated on yourself a bit. It happened to me too, nothing to be embarrassed about. It is rather common, and OB/GYN's are very accustomed to receiving calls from frantic patients stating their water has broken, so if you do need to call - don't feel silly! They are used to it. That is what they are there for. The fact that you were lying down for half an hour and nothing else came out makes me think it was urine. When your water breaks it is constant. If you lie down after your water breaks you will feel a constant stream or small spurts of liquid coming out. You could always do the smell test. Sounds grody, but if it smells sugary it is probably amniotic fluid. Good luck!

Ooooh congratulations, that's not discharge it's amniotic fluid most likely (that's how my first child's waters broke, with just a trickle like I'd wet myself). Give your hospital a ring and let them know, they will most likely want you to come in so that they can confirm that your waters have broken, and start monitoring you.
How exciting, soon you're going to meet your baby!!!

Get to the hospital!!!! You need to be checked out. After your water breaks there is only a small window of time before infection can set in, so you need to be under medical care.

You are supposed to go straight to your doctor or hospital when your water breaks. It can cause infection if you wait to long. Best of Luck and Congratulations!
