and heterosexuals were in our place and we were in theirs, as far as majority/minority status and rights, how do you think the heterosexuals of the world would react then?

i think the hetero's would be acting the same as we are, fighting for their rights and recognition... but if you think about it, we may be acting the way some of them are currently.. if we were the majority and never knew what struggle was, we would not know anything of the compassion and sympathy and the altruistic lifestyles we have grown to be so good at...
its a funny thought though... imagine straight people being considered immoral, discucsting, deviant.. a man and woman not being allowed to marry... i think the funniest of all is a mother crying her eyes out because her son is straight!!l

Usually when people "role play" such as that for documentaries, their attitudes change drastically.
But, for most - they don't care because it's doesn't effect their life directly.
To Howie - gay people are probably, the most tolerant group of people that exist in the world. When I have ever been to a Pride where they focused on just gay rights? Never. It's always been about women's rights, environmentalism, affirmative action, human rights, stopping genocice - the list goes on and on...

The same way ......its all in trends and what society deems to be normal. a thousand years ago if you were fat then you were considered sexy and heatlhy, but if you were skinny you were considered poor and ugly! Go figure...

pretty much all of the gays/lesbians i know real well are very open-minded... not speaking for all but my aunts and few aquaintances... i don't think they'd really give half a sh*t.

I like what HOWIE said....would we be more accepting.....
I think that it would be a different place and society. I find it hard to imagine, as it will never happen. All I can say is that hetero's would most likely start a war and kill us....that's what they like to do to people they don't like.
