At least I did. But they don't play them any more. Maybe I'm on the wrong channel for old Tarzan/Jane/Cheeta/Boy movies in the USA? (Johnny Weissmuller starred in them.)

And, yes, I'll assume they were in black and white since my TV was black and white.

Also - were they part of the "pre-code" era of the 1920's-1930's?

yes, of course...as a kid, Tarzan movies were great! Then, they had a run on TV for many years. There were so many Tarzans as time passed...Johnny Weismiller, Buster Crabbe, Lex Barker, ....then the TV series, Tarzan with Ron Eli.
Sally Field's step father was a Tarzan in one movie (Jock Mahoney).

I remember one of the original 1930's Tarzan movies where Jane and Tarzan were swimming in the nude...and if you were paying attention, you could see the WHOLE MONTY on both of them!

The Johnny Weismuller movies that played Saturday afternoons on TV got me hooked on Tarzan. But he just wasn't my IDEA of a "Tarzan as sex god", you know?!

Now Ron Ely (from the first Tarzan weekly series) definitely qualified as such. He was the object of a crush during high school....ah me! I can still see him now, without even closing my eyes.

Yes. When I was a kid I wanted a man just like Tarzan. Now that is a real alpha male.

i loved the Tarzan movies with johnny weissmuller they were the best they probably seem hoakie to todays world with all their special effects but when we were young they were real enough it`s like when you see an old tv show and the acting is pretty bad compared to todays tv but for us it was great and we couldn`t get enough lol

I used to watch them all the time but I haven't seen one on TV in a long time. My favorite was the one where they went to New York.

You're right. They are in black and white.

I watched them when I was a kid. You could try emailing or writing to American Movie Classics network if you get that channel. Or try Turner Classic Movies channel.
