there are so many "yucky" things happening during labor and delivery that flatulance is the least of them

flatulence as well as defecating can happen to any woman while giving birth, anesthetised or not, because you are using the same muscles to push with. Don't worry about it, it happens.

Well the baby squishes that part of you on the way out, meds or no meds - and the pushing also.

Can't be helped. Don't worry. Childbirth is not supposed to be pretty or graceful. It's as real as life gets.

I can happen to anyway, as can defecation. You can request an enema if you are concerned, but it happens quite often so you don't need to worry. It's all having to do with the pressure on your colon from the baby coming out.

I had an epidural and I did not pass gas while pushing

i beleive that it can happen anyway even through a natural birth,its all the same muscles for pushing im affraid.Its gross i know but it life.hope it doesnt happen to me lol
