Well when I was a kid and my mom sent my dad to the store to get those kind of things, he would make me go so I would pay for them at the counter. I was only like 7 or 8 years old so I'm pretty sure the cashier knew they weren't for me. But there is no need to be embarrassed about it. Everyone knows it's a lady thing.

My mother and my sister used to ask me to buy sanitary napkins for them.
I didn't mind because people should know that it wasn't for me. Obviously I was just running an errand.
And people know that men have in their lives women who have periods. Nothing wrong with that. It's common knowledge.
