hello,
yes i know how to get that red hair dye out of your creme carpet! all u have to do is spray hair spray on it, use a lot of hair spray on it then when it dries rinse it with cold water. hair spray can be used on any kind of stain & it doesn't matter how old it is. let me know how u make out ok?

Try oxyclean (all purpose cleaner), just mix it much stronger than the package tells you to.

Another thing that works well is called Spot Chomp by ESI company, it is in a blue spray can with a orange lid.

Both of the above should work without ruining the carpet. If they don't work, there is a stronger product that you can get at hardware stores. Can't remember the exact name but if you go in and tell them what you need they should be able to help you. But I have had that product remove not only the paint, but the carpet color too. So try the first two first.


I found the brand that took dried in black paint out of a burgandy carpet without ruining the color of the carpet. This stuff really worked! It is called Spot Shot and is by far the strongest stain remover for carpeting I have ever seen.

I would try using oxy clean. Make a paste with it using water and rub it over the stain. It has gotten hair dye out of some of my clothes! I hope that it works for ya!

You may have to get the carpet cleaned or dyed in that spot.

No idea, but maybe you should start to dye your hair in the bathroom?
