Men hate interaction that has to do with emotions other than laughing with the guys. Men do not feel comfortable telling the truth when they feel a woman is going to either get angry, cry or go psycho. This is from my husband and his guy friends. They all seem to agree about this. It's just more comfortable to lie to a woman than face up to the emotional consequences.

Have you ever noticed how women overreact to the truth so many times? Let's say I was at a local gathering place and ran into an old girlfriend and we talked for about an hour. No bad intentions or thoughts by either of us, just talked. Then my woman asks where I have been. I would never hear the end of it if I tell her the truth now will I? That sets aside the questions like "How do you like my new hairdo?" "Does this outfit make me look fat?" and that sort of thing. Women lie too by the way but tend to call them fibs. Men often lie because they dare not tell their sweetheart the truth. She trained them to lie.

Don't label all men liars. I have never cheated on a partner or lied to them. In fact in my experience I could state all women lie and cheat.

Just because you have had bad experience with a few, doesn't mean we are all dicks. Some guys out here are decent and honest. You just seem to fall for the bad ones.

Lying is not a gender thing, women do it too. Generally, men lie to women because we ask them questions that they do not wish to answer so they tell us what they think we want to hear. Many times women are so desperate for male company and they are so needy, men need to get away for their male bonding, which includes gawking at other women. If we would just shut up and go about living our lives, we would quickly find a man who wants us and will have integrity to be honest with us. Wait for the quality man, keep yourself busy so that you don't have to put up with the bull shiest.

There are litle lies and big lies. Little lies....are ok....
big lies are not ok.
So probably every person on the planet is guilty of little lies m,ale and female and both sexes capable of big whoppers. It is the whoppers that are destructive tho....even if not caught out because they erode an essential ingredient of any relationship and that is a belief in the other person.
To the man who said he lies to stop questions.....well he probably gets the questions in teh first place because the other party has sensed the fiction in the words he utters.
Instinct is usually right.

Hi Kate Lomax here.
The function of lieing is not gender orientated.
Humans lie.
Fact of life.
Women and men do this.
Men do not lie any more than women.
So Now I ask why have you posted this question here.
We have a forum which debates, has problems but has really good contributors.
Saddens me when a poster posts as you have done.
You will get responses but sadly not from my contact list because we are not on here to score points.

That's a little harsh. You act like ladies are perfect angels. Everybody lies or have the ability to lie. I don't know what bad men you've experience.

I don't know about all men... but I have encountered quite a few in my day....
I think they do it cause they either have a need to impress us.. or two we get pretty nosy in their personal life and they do it mostly to avoid arguments..such as asking them about their past love life.. this is really a big no no...
But mostly I think its because they can.. and usually we will believe them..so it works out to their advantage..
But I might add, women are good liars too.. don't you doubt it for one second..but as for personal stuff we do tend to open up more.. why? Who knows....

The best way to determine whether he is a good bloke is to see what he is like with his mother. It always works and i have had some lucky escapes. If he moans about her or trys to ignore her he is not worth your time you want someone to be attentive not trying to get away at any given moment

What is it about YOU that draws lying men to you? Are you gullible? Do you look for all that glitters? Are you only drawn to men who are exciting, or have all the women after them?

Look at yourself to see what draws you to these men. It seems that the only thing these men have in common is YOU.
