10 days prior to the game is the minimum and can be decided anytime before that (that's for televised games) un-televised games depend on your team but are usually set prior to the season beginning.

The games have a standard start time for the home team when they are supposed to play. The time moves only when there is a conflict in schedule (other sports using same field) or when a sports network wants to televise a game and it has to fit a certain starting time slot.
