I can honestly say that I don't know what happened with the McCanns because I have not read the stories or even many YA questions, and when I do read a question, I don't know what it's about so I move on. This is the first question about the McCann matter that I have been able to understand and answer.
I would certainly be unbiased if picked for their jury, but I don't suppose it would be much fun.

I can honestly answer that I might be able to be an unbiased juror.
I have been abroad since May and knew nothing about all of this McCann trauma.
Sure, I saw headlines and also questions posted here, but I never paid them any attention.
I remember making a memo to google search McCann, but I never did it.
Today, for the first time, the story was on Japanese T.V. news. Briefly, but enough to rekindle my interest.
I know very little about it, but what got my attention was that they live in Leicester, and so do I when I'm not working overseas.
I wouldn't want to be a juror though. Can't think of anything worse.

A fair chance based on the evidence presented. So I wonder if they would say now they would not get a fair trial or that the police have planted the evidence to frame them. Wow, I would not be surprised.

If their trial happens in Portugal they will not have a jury.
Its very rare the use of a jury in Portugal and I believe only happened once or twice.

For a child neglect case there would not have to be a jury - its open and shut! They left the children and plenty of witnesses, and their own admission.

As I'm one of the people insisting that they are 'innocent until proven guilty' I think I'd be okay on the jury.

Unfortunately, that sick lynch mob scream louder and more often so it's their views that get the most space.
