BlueLady I've been all over this world and have yet to go to a country that did not have racism in one way or the other, to include your country. While in the Army, I had a very good Canadian friend who was in our Army, he was black, married a white American girl, and had a heck of a time when he took her home for the first time. Not for sure what part of Canada he was from, but he spoke French fluently if that tells you anything. Unfortunately, there are racist of all colors, denominations, and nationalities. I believe the answer lays within our children. Teach the children tolerance, acceptance, and love for the other person and just maybe a few generations from now, the problem will not be so bad. But I fear it will never go away.

The form of unlawful extraterrestrial beings is somewhat small. The Canadians and the human beings watch the border using fact that's a smuggling direction. So fairly, we've not got unlawful Canadians in united states, in numbers. and admittedly, they could be some thing we'd seek for rather heavily. Mexicans dedicate a criminal offense and make a run for the border. lots of them i've got self assurance. Canadians dedicate a criminal offense and additionally make a run for the border. yet very few unlawful extraterrestrial beings are crossing the Canadian border and the components we've are coping with the problem alongside the Mexican Border as 80% of the narcotics come over alongside the Mexican Border.

No, the Cultures & Croups section on Yahoo Answers doesn't represent American society. And you're a stupid hypocrite. Almost all of your questions are about how you're against racism, but you say that you only see Whites being racist. That's racist in it's own right. Internet racism isn't anything like racism in real life. Anyone with half a brain knows the difference. And the United States is a much better country then Canada.

There's two principles at work. The USA has a very definite racist past that has not entirely gone away. Also, it's not uncommon for a formerly dominant culture to resent and strike back at the immigrant culture when this immigrant culture is perceived as becoming too numerous.

Some nations have handled it better than others. I'm under the impression that Canada has handled it quite well.
It may be that, in this regard, Canada is among the more mature nations. Congratulations and we'll try to catch up.

You have a national healthcare system. I really don't think it is a racist problem persay. You are not as involved as we are in the middle east either and many parents and families are moving to Canada to avoid it. Schools are better as well. Who wouldn't want to move to Canada? The only people that wouldn't are those that can't stand the cold other than that you better make more room. Many of our retirees are looking towards your country and England as a place to retire - mostly for the healthcare. Sad isn't it.

I live in Italy, where people won't touch the skin of a black person.Racism exists everywhere but it is not a part of the majority's DNA.The USA is an amazing country with a smattering of haters. The vast and loving majority are the best I've known.Don't judge a country on the basis of a few Yahoo Answer trolls.

Not sure about the generalization. When I go to the States, it strikes fear in my heart to cross that border. I expect border guards to whip out guns and truncheons. (And they do sometimes.) But when I get into town somewhere, anywhere, I look and look, and can't find a single 'American' of the sort I'm prepared for (none under the age of seventy...)

No, Americans are learning a lot, fast. Be patient and compassionate.

Blue Lady,
There are as many different kinds of Americans as there are Kinds of socks in this world. America is a land of freedom and that has allowed many different groups to move here and to propagate freely. I am sorry to say that there are many different groups who are sadly lacking in tolerance but there are just as many who are not. I enjoy the freedom that Americans are given and hope that some day we are able to enjoy that freedom and be more tolerant of other's views and differences as well. Have a wonderful week.
Thank YOU,
Eds

WELL its like this. the priviledge once accorded to white people is no more. power has shifted into the hands of a few who are mostly jewish. the few who have the money are interested in accumulating more money at the expense of basic family structure, meaning they will hire an ilegal to do a job that a white erson will do for 3 times less. the result of this is many broken and poor white homes. when white people are angry they like to point fingers at the most vulnerable target. black people. so since lots of poor white peole now exist, there is a lot of racism going on. lots of whites are experiencing homelessness, foreclosures and bankruptcy.
