Because we are different. And different is always scary to narrow minded people. Rather than try and rationalize difference, weak people create lies that they tell each other to feel better about an issue they don't understand. They tell each other these lies so often they believe them to be true.
You are talking to the other Jake with your second comment no?

I'm not saying its right, but its because society is the way it is with the norms and such. My friend and I were just having this conversation the other day and we pretty much decided that if society "deems" it a certain way it becomes a sort of "sterotype"! People just want things figured out for peace of mind. That doesn't mean its correct.

Put simply. Gay people don't choose to be gay, just like straight and bi people don't choose to be straight or bi.
A lot of gay people have said that if they had the choice they would be straight but it's not that easy (if it were there wouldn't be as many gay-teen suicides). When people try to be straight when they're gay they just end up breaking down mentally.

Well...when my son was 6....i wouldn't have explained human sexuality to him...i would have clearly stated that people can choose to love whomever they like....w/o the whole sex education....no 6 y.o needs that...so no...i can't explain it to you like you are 6...that is just wrong!

Well you're not a 6 yr old or else I'd tell you the stork brought us.
It's been said many, many times in this section and I'll repeat it one more time.....homosexuality is not a chose but a birthright....not unlike heterosexuality.
Now stop acting like a six yr old!

Hi Kyle... now... why don't you have a nice glass of milk while I answer your ignorant, ridiculous, HAS to be purposfully inflamatory.... "question"... comfy?... ok... now pay attention....
... one does not CHOOSE ones sexuality... your confusion MAY come from the fact that gay people CAN "choose" to HIDE their sexuality... something that straight people couldn't most often even conceive of... and that's why they post such moronic, pathetic , ignorant, uneducated, hillbilly questions like this....
... really... if you've been above ground for more than a week... this is pretty basic.... REALLY wish we could get past this stupidity...

It's natural to be straight. Look at your body.... your sexual parts, it's natural for a guy and a girl to form into one body. It is also natural for a guy and girl to make a baby together.
The only reason why there are people and living creatures is because straight people/things didn't choose to be straight, it was just in nature.
