All-Time Team

1. Magic Johnson
2. Michael Jordan
3. Scottie Pippen
4. Hakeem Olajuwon
5. Wilt Chamberlin

Magic is taller than Kidd and will have no problem quarterbacking the offense against him. Jordan (in his prime) would shut down Kobe and there is nothing he can do against MJ's explosiveness, athleticism, and superb hops. Scottie Pippen won't shut LeBron down completely but he will give him fits and disrupt his game, limiting his offensive flow. Hakeem will have no problem stopping Duncan if he could stop taller big men like David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, and Shaq. Wilt Chamberlin will destroy Yao on offense and defense. This match will be a complete blowout.

Current NBA Players Team

1. Steve Nash
2. Dwyane Wade
3. Tracy McGrady
4. Kevin Garnett
5. Amare Stoudemire

Steve Nash and D-Wade will quarterback the offense in the backcourt. Nash and Kidd are pretty even in terms of point guard skills. Nash has a stronger outside shot while Kidd is the better defender. Wade has been able to hold his own and score against Kobe in games. T-Mac can match LeBron James offensive production. Garnett is one of the only players in the league who can guard Duncan. Amare will give Yao fits on defense but Yao won't be able to stop him offensively. My team has great passers just like your team but my teams has the edge on outside shooting while your team will have a rebounding advantage. This should be a pretty close match.

This is NOT a team. It is a group of all-star players. In basketball, as you know, there are 5 players and 1 ball. Herein lies the problem. What are the other 4 gonna do when they don't have the ball ?

There is one thing that you have going for you. That is Kidd. Based on his performance in the last tournament, he would see his role to distribute the ball. Then it would work. Do you know in the tourney, he took a grand total of 5 shots ? Kidd is smart enough to figure out what is needed and put his personal goals on the back burner. I guess that would make him the MVP of that team, wouldn't you say ? Of course, you wouldn't. You need stats for that and putting up only 5 shots isn't going to give anyone impressive numbers.

A team to beat your all-star team ? That's easy. San Antonio. And without Duncan.

Oh just a small point. The word is 'unstoppable'

Using current players:

Amare Stoudemire
Dirk Nowitzki
Dwayne Wade
Michael Redd
Steve Nash

Nice and quick. No way Yao can guard that! It will be like a 5 vs 4! Wade is more clutch than James, and arguably Bryant because of Wade's abilities to LEAD his team back from 2 from-behind series victories, whereas Kobe couldn't LEAD his team to a victory even after a 3-1 advantage. And Steve Nash is faster than Kidd; even though Kidd is better overall, Nash can run the offense as its defense! Everyone is a high percentage shooter except Wade, but Wade is fast enough and clutch enough. However, your team has no high percentage shooter except Yao, and he's slow! My team will shoot 3s from all over the place!

Thats too easy. There are so many combos out there.

5.)Hakeem
4.)Bird
3.)Doc J
2.)MJ
1.)Magic

although it'll be close, I like the spacing of this five better. Yao and Duncan are both low post players, keeping my shotblocker near the basket to help on D. However, when u switch it around, Bird and the Dream can step away from the basket and be a threat. plus, Magic would be able to punish Kidd.

If you're asking for actual NBA teams in history, the 1996 Bulls would teach that team a lesson. I could make a much better team from current players.

if we're going with current players then that is a good team, except i dont think we need 2 guys that stay in the post. I'd put in Garnett for Duncan, or for Yao and Duncan would move to center.

PG - Walt Frazier (made stealing an art form)
SG - Michael Jordan (best ever)
SF - Scottie Pippen (nice combo of off/def)
PF - Kevin Garnett (good for avg 20pt, 10rb, 5 ast)
C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (sky hook unstoppable)
