Pressure from the baby for sure. Although my baby isn't that big (I'm only 12 wks) and I can pee up to 4 or 5 times an hour! My OB knows this and says it's ok. I've always had to go a lot more than the average person and he knows this. Unfortunately it cuts into my sleep though.

You have to pee so much when you are pregnant because the uterus is right above your bladder, so as the baby grows it pushes on your bladder. Your bladder becomes smaller, and so you have to pee more.

In the beginning of pregnancy it's usually because the kidneys are processing more fluid and waste materials. Toward the end of pregnancy it's because the baby is pressing on the bladder.

Your body is producing more blood and the amniotic fluid is constantly replaced with fresh fluids to eliminate waste (your baby is urinating into the fluid too) so that's why you produce more urnine and also from the pressure of the baby.
