It is not typical to have a period while pregnant, but it does happen. I had been on birth control pills for 11 years when my husband and I conceived our 4th child. I did not know I was pregnant. I continued to take the Pill and continued to have periods. I found out I was pregnant when I was 17 weeks along. I had 2 normal periods and 1 lighter and shorter period before I found out I was pregnant and stopped taking the Pill. After that, my periods stopped. I have heard of women who have regular monthly bleeding throughout their pregnancy. Generally speaking, though, pregnant women do not have periods, but it does happen sometimes for various reasons.

YES YES YES!!!!

My best friend did not know she was pregnant until she went to the doctor in excrutiating pain only to be told she was in labour!!! She nearly hit the floor not to mention the doctor!!!

The best of it is she already has a little boy so she knew what it was like to be pregnant but with the one I'm talking about she had no sickness, no tiredness, didn't feel the baby move or if she did she didn't know that's what it was but only because she bled every month, as regular as clockwork.

Her second little boy is now a happy, healthy 3 year old, bless!

Yes you sure can. My boyfriend's mother had her period the entire time she was pregnant with him. She had no idea she was pregnant until she was five months.

You can have your period and still be pregnant. One of my Aunts had periods through her entire pregnancies, all five of them.
