WOW I stopped in to see what everyone had given for ideas... There are some good answers here:)
What I have done in the past was the same as one of the answers here I gave food cookies fudge chocolate covered pretzels etc. I also got a bunch of huge bags of miniatures, M&M and things like that and bought a bunch of holiday glass jars and filled those. I did have a Jahova Witness friend who I made one for that was just leaves and one with snowflakes:)
I hope this helps:)

It's hard to buy gifts for co-workers; you may not know them very well. If the office is large, you may not know who to "cut off" in terms of who gets a gift and who doesn't. And if they get you nothing, they may feel bad.
I prefer bringing in a nice stash of baked goods (either homemade or store bought--even a couple dozen donuts will make them salivate) and sending an email saying, "Today I'd like to spread some holiday cheer. Please stop by my desk for a tasty treat."

What I do is go buy a pile of those little $1 stockings, and stuff them with Christmas candy - kisses, candy canes, mints, miniatures, taffy, and hand them out. I've done this for about five years running now, and all my work friends look forward to them. Some even collect the little stockings. I can give out about 20 of them for about $45 total.

Hi Mari
Buy a big box of candy canes. Tie a peice of ribbon around each one (in a bow) with a little tag attached to the ribbon (threaded thru a hole on the tag) and write on the tag "Merry Christmas love Mari"
drop one on each persons desk along with a card.

Food gifts (chocolate candy, cookies), gift cards to Starbucks, etc. will be appreciated and used (eaten) by the gift receipients. Sorry, but many ppl do not drink booze and little bottles of booze will be regifted or tossed. Candles will most likely end up in a drawer, lost and forgetten.

I used to bake a variety of cookies and plate them out on pretty china (from TJ MAXX) plates. Sounds like a lot of work but it really wasn't and everyone loved them
I've also given home-made noodles, books of poetry, home made strawberry or peach jam (sunshine in a jar), little cloth pillows of cedar chips or dried lavender (sachets)

Personalized stamps are a good idea. Martha Stewart.com always has some interesting things to look at too.
