Took it in 7th grade and scored 99th percentile in numerous categories. i think my composite was 97th percentile. a school counselor told me, that based on this my IQ was 135. does sound about right? with an iq of 135 would i do well in engineering programs in college? or are they looking for 140+ or 150+ material?

CTBS is not an IQ test. It is just standardized exam used in elementary and middle school.
Engineering schools are looking at your ACT/SAT scores, class rank, GPA, and other high school information.

CTBS is a very good and reliable test (written by the same people who write the ACT), but I don't know about the IQ levels, I'd say take the SAT or ACT and base your interest in engineering on those, assuming you can take those. ACT and CTBS are better geared towards math-based professions (i.e. engineering), but some schools won't accept an ACT score without an SAT to go with it, so find out what the school wants before taking either.
