Being a Bronco fan stuck in the Toronto area means all I get is the Buffalo rhetoric on how the Bills had that game right where they wanted it yesterday. Seems to me, from all the previous hype, Denver should have blown the Bills away.

Question is, just what does yesterday's game say about Denver? Did Buffalo simply play over their heads while the Broncos came out flat, or are the Broncos going to get pushed around this year?

First of all, I must say that Buffalo played much better yesterday than I expected them to. Lossman didn't do much but Marshawn looks like he's going to be something special.

Yesterday's game tells me that Cutler is one cool customer. He didn't get rattled as he stared straight in the eyes of defeat.

That being said, I'm reminded of how the season started for Denver last year (a bit slow). I'd definately like to see more scoring. I think 8 of the last 9 drives ended in Buffalo territory and yeilded few points. I'm sure that we'll hit our stride and put more things together in the coming weeks.

I'm optimistic about our offense as compared to who we had lining up last year. Though Cutler made some mistakes, he also stood in there and made some great plays. That last drive was awesome. I was very impressed with the play of both Travis Henry and Daniel Graham.

I don't think the Broncs will get pushed around much this season. We'll have to endure some bumps along the way but I think we'll be fine.

GO BRONCOS!!!

Take it easy. It's only week one. I do agree with you that the performance was a bit...unimpressive given the talent on that team. Cutler will come around and be able to get the ball into the hands of the WR's in the red zone.

The thing that pissed me off most about the game were the red zone offense play calls. We have Travis Henry for Christ's sake. They should have ran him down Buffalo's throat when in the red zone. But, nooooooooooooo Kubiak wanted to prove to the media they had a "franchise" QB.

Honestly, they could have scored another 28 points. Easy. Give them a few weeks to get into a rhythm and ESPN will shut up about the Pats and the Colts and they'll be on the Broncos bandwagon.

I think it's too soon to tell. Cutler is such a brand new QB that I think in the end they were limited in the calls they were willing to call for Cutler (hence the handoffs under 2 minutes). BUT, I think Denver will progressively get better as the season moves forward. I'm glad they got the win because it will be important as their record gets them close to the playoffs at the end of the year.

I was mostly surprised at Elam. That was unlike him. I don't think it needed to be that close. And YES I thin Losman played WAY over his head--I think the Bills may actually surprise some people, too, this year.

Keep the faith--I'm a Denver fan stuck in Houston. Aack.

Well I think less of the Broncos to be honest. That was a great execution at the final kick. But Buffalo isn't that good of a team. Cutler did well, and actually a lot of them did, but they failed to hit the endzone after successful drives....Denver can't make the playoffs like that. I'm not saying they're a bad team, I just expected better out of them.

Watching the game and looking at the stats Denver offense dominated Buffalo (total offense was 470 to 185 in favor of Denver). It was a little disconcerning that Denver couldn't finish off those drives with TDs instead of FGs but that will come.

great game, awesome finish! next time I like to see Cutler take a quick snap, spike the ball to stop the clock and set up for special unit to kick the field goal...I was outside listening to the game on radio, man, I was nervous with time running down to the last second...I was so excited to see my Broncos win BIG on the road...Cutler need to find a rhythem and timing...and I noticed when he is under pressure from the pocket, once he finds a receiver, he delivers...which is good...I was bothered by several repeat bad low snaps...but overall, Champ played well as usual with some of his good hard hits, Lynch with strong blitz sack, Dre made some good one on one play, Ed Stokley made some clutch catches, and Walker was great...and Elam of course, even though he went 3/5 he is still the man. I look forwards Broncos off to a quick 2-0 start now that they got the hated Raiders at Invesco this coming Sunday. lol! GO BRONCOS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also a Broncos Fan and I think they were just rusty. It was the first game. They will be better. The important thing is even though they didn't blow Buffalo out, they stillo won.

Broncos are younfg and in a building stage. They will compete this year, but a real run to the Super Bowl can not be expected. Another year, maybe two they will be ready to push.
