I live in Texas and I am about to start taking my appraisal classes and I understand about the apprenticeship but, I was wondering if you generally get paid while doing it and how much that generally is.

If it's part of the class, possibly not. Ask the teacher up front about it so you're all on the same page. It's a good, legitimate question.

Good luck on finding someone to train you. Its really slow now. Most appraiser will pay you between 20%-30% of the appraisal and that will go on for no less than 2 years, you will also pay your own gas. Remember they have to be a Certified Appraiser to train you.
