I am a student in Gloucestershire. Am looking to buy from London, or anywhere closer to Gloucestershire. What sort of price should I be expecting for second hand machines?

Why don't you join your local FREECYCLE group. Loads of people replacing there own machines put them on freecycle.
These are items that they no longer need still work and they want to pass them on, there is NO charge. Have a look, it also saves the environment and landfill sites.

I would steer clear of second hand electricals. People rarely buy big utility items until they have to. But saying that, there are some very good reconditioned ones. Try checking out liquidation sites and auctions or house clearance. Or you could just buy a washer, wrap your dishes in your clothes and kill two birds with one stone! Sorted

A dishwasher? YOU ARE the dishwasher! Washing machine? Look in the paper or the supermarket ads. A simple new one is affordable.

pity you do not live in midwales , we have a Top Loading Bosch Washing machine you could have for £150 . It has been serviced regularly, until the person who owned it passed away, and is in excellent working order and thats the facts
. but then you do not live in midwales.

Buying a used washer is almost as bad as buying a used car.
You are asking for trouble if you are not handy enough to do some maintenance. Check http://appliancequickfix.com/
before doing anything.

Try a consignment shop. Ask for a trial period in writing or have the seller test it in front of you.
