My last period wasnt so great, I was at school, I walked up the stairs to the 3rd floor. Then I felt very faint, I asked my teacher if i could go to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom, sat on the floor and rested. I felt like throwing up. When security found me lying in the bathroom. Called my mother, I didnt go to the school nurse because my mom was at work, and she'll send me back to class anyway. Mom went to pick me up. On the way home, I threw up in the car, then I had headaches. I went home and fell asleep, I was still having cramps.

Ladies, Is this possible? Is it normal, that you all have had it in th past? Is there anyway to prevent this?

Romani,
it's totally normal! the only thing you can buy some motrin or pamprin to help with your cramps......

but make sure your doctor says its ok to take either or, even though its sold over the counter....make sure you are not allergic to them

should you decide to take pamprin, it can make u sleepy

you can get that warm patch that they sell over the couter also for your belly. or a warm wash cloth.......

now if your cramps are sooo severe, you must see your doctor because it can be something different.

but cramps are so normal!

get well soon!!!

I had that when I was younger. I'd get bad cramps and be sick and feel dizzy. I even fainted in class once and came close on other occasions. I found out that I had low blood pressure and it would dip even lower during my period. Taking meds for that at least stopped me from passing out, though didn't do much against the pain and being sick. Pain meds especially made for menstrual cramps helped a lot. Eventually I ended up going on the pill (for other reasons). It made my periods much weaker and more regular and I never had problems again. You should go to your gynecologist and ask him/her what to do about it. It's no good feeling like hell once a month when you could do something about it.

It's all related to the change in hormone levels before your period starts. I have problems with this all the time. One second I'll be perfectly fine. The next, I'm about ready to pass out. Sometimes, I'm so tired all the time that I can only seem to stay awake for a couple hours at a time before I need to go back to sleep. I'm currently on the birth control patch to help with this. Perhaps you can talk to your mom about going to a gynecologist to discuss this. If your problems are seriously interfering with your life, it may be beneficial to go on a low dose birth control pill to help regulate your hormone levels. But you need to talk to a doctor before going this route.

try to eat protien when you feel this way. like peanuts also the salt helps a lil. It's from hormones. Just like morning sickness. Yes it sucks but the only thing the'll do for you is give you the pill.

Yes, it is possible. Unfortunately when I was in school, I missed a day of school every month for feeling sick like that.

It didn't get better until I got on birth control pills.

It is normal. Your body is still getting used to the menstual cycle and you'll have some abnormal ones until your body mautures a bit more. Plenty of tylenol and caffiene helps me with my cramps. Also, if you have a chicken express near you.....drink their sweet teas......the sugar in it with tylenol helps out cramps.
