If there isn't any skim milk if the fridge, I won't drink milk at all. At first I just used it in my coffee & gradually I got used to using it in my cereal. Also, skim milk isn't only for people who are old or want to lose weight as most people will suggest. It's a good way to cut out fat & calories from your diet. I drink lot's of coffee so if I used regular full cream milk I think the scale would start going up. If you try mixing skim & whole together.. than you can gradually move onto just skim & you won't taste the difference. Anyway I think it's pretty silly to be defending skim milk! So if you like it, drink it. Don't like it, then don't.

Skim milk does NOT help you lose wait. People need to stop perpetuating this lie, it is actually terrible for your body. Firstly, fat doesn t make you fat. Sugar and carbohydrates make you fat. Fat keeps you full, therefore, it is better to have fattier milk as it prevents overeating. Skim milk does not have vitamin D, no matter what the label tells you. It s made with synthetic vitamin D, which passes through your body doing nothing. Did you know skim milk is also blue? They make it white using powdered milk. Powdered milk will wreak havoc on your arteries, clogging them which, yes, can lead to a heart attack. Whole milk is better for you in every way possible.

it's good once you get used to it. mix 1/2 gal 2% with 1/2 gal skim. you can't taste the difference. each week, lessen the amount of 2% til it's all skim. you won't go back to the other stuff after that.
you're wrong about the elderly drinking skim too. actually, any adult would benefit from it. other milks have way more milk fat than is necessary.

You are correct. Skim milk is pretty useless. I don't see the point in it. Every time I see people put skim milk in their coffee it really bugs me. It turns the coffee an ugly gray color and does not enhance it at all, as does milk, half & half or cream. I would rather drink the coffee black than put in skim milk.
People are odd. How much damage to your body can two ounces of whole milk in a cup of coffee do to you? People just think they have to suffer to be healthy, I guess.
I am with you! Pass the cream!

Skim milk is much healthier for you, unless you are under two years of age or too skinny then you do not need all the fat in regular milk. Other than being fat free, it has the exact same amount of calcium and vitamins.

Trust me i would much rather drink 2% milk, but skim is less fatning. i settle for the middle....1% milk. It is actually tastes almost as good as 2% without all the calories.

Milk isn't milk unless it sticks to the sides of the glass. As far as the fat content, I don't eat a lot of other typical fatty foods like french fries or chips, and I eat a lot of veggies so it really isn't a problem. It's all about balance. Whole milk in addition to a diet of chips and twinkies would be disgusting.
