I want to see Romo against a good defense before I make my judgment. New Yorks D is almost as bad as Detroit. TRUE, Romo had a great game against them, as he should have, and I think he's going to be legit, but next week it's Miami's defense, then Chicago's defense, if he can manage the game for the next two weeks and put up numbers, Romo is legit.
I gotta tell you, Romo played against my old high school, but he never looked that good...

Oh wow, you're right. Playing a good game against the league's worst secondary is probably an indication of him being the second coming of John Elway. Come on. It's like when he threw those 5 td's against the awful Lions defense - it's adding to his hype and not his playing ability. He will be a good qb (MAYBE even finish with one of the top 5 qb ratings), but that limb you're going out on is pretty weak so I'd be careful. Saying he'll finish above Brady is complete nonsense, and I would pick at least 3 others, plus Peyton to finish above him as well.

Tap the brakes.
I'm a Cowboys fan & I'd love to see Romo have a great season, but this is just one game, and the Giants lost Umeniore (I know that's spelled incorrectly) and I don't remember seeing Strahan either. So they didn't really put much pressure on the QB.
Besides, I'll bet Brees and/or Brady will have something to say about that.

What presence for such a young QB. I bet he will go down in history as being one of the all-time great Cowboys QBs. Giants fans can blame it on the "horrible secondary" all day, but the fact remains that he made some monumental decisions in that game.
BTW - reply to the above poster. Don't start with the stupid conspiracy theories again. It makes Giants fans look really stupid.

It COULD be because of my love for the 'Boys, but Romo was my #1 draft and I got him!
I thought it was a good risk, worth some decent points, but as it turns out, he seems to have decided to play for keeps this season. I think Mr. Romo is about to have a landmark season, and if he does end up second-rated of all, I will be pleased. But watch out, he's definitely looking like a #1 contender early on!

He was good yesterday and both the defense were not that
good. Hence it is an illusion and I would wait before on the
bandwagon. He cannot be 2nd only to Manning as I find other
QBs like Brady, Farve, McNabb are ahead of him.

yeah, he looked good last night. remember though, giants D isnt the way it used to be. i give cowboys entire offense kudos on their win. they all pitched in. the rb's wore down the D, TO had a good 2nd half, as witten had a good 1st half. romo basically had a cake walk over them.

Tony Romo is going to lead Dallas to a NFC championship this year it will be somewhat of a suprise but even though they will go to the Super Bowl they won't win and lose badly to whatever AFC team makes it.

I think he will do good this year. Let's see him go against a better defense and see what happens.
