Everyone Pls Help Me For My Project! :'(?

Question

My teacher asks us to choose a topic for the project and I choose : Travel and Tourism.

But I asks some of my frendz and they said Travel and Tourism is about Country's Culture, what they do or blah......!

Is this meaning correct? If wrong, Pls explain to me :)
Finally, Pls help to find some website and pictures so that I can understand.

You might want to make your project about the distinction between a traveller ( someone who gets to know the people and their customs as well as visiting the highlights ) and a tourist ( who usually only has time to skim the highlights of a place ).
Pick a place and then show what each would do on a visit.

I would say that if you are writing about travel and tourism you might pick a specific destination and talk about what that city or country has to offer visitors.
Once you've picked the country you would like to talk about then you can probably check on the internet to see if that country has a tourism website (most do).
The country's culture has an impact on tourism but of course it is not a paper about the country so keep it more informative for someone wanting to visit.

Travel and Tourism usually includes a country's culture and history. It depends on the country/region as to how much. For example, if you go to Hawaii, a large part of their tourism industry relies on displays of local culture and history. Other places are not tourist destinations because of culture, but because of location - like Aruba.

travel & tourism? hmm well you can put someplace you went on vacation? like mexico, hawaii, i dont know! then just explain about what there culture is over there, and google search images then paste on word pad and print, and put everything on a poster! done! A+++++ im soo smart =)
