don't worry, its either u hurt ur self while putting it and i guess it will heal it self or either u r bleeding cause its ur period.anyway use a pad for the time being and don't put on tampons soon until u r sure u r ready and knowhow.
and next time before u put it on ask ur mom or a girlfriend that uses them.
i hope its nothing serious
best luck:D

Sounds totally norm. When blood gets old it turns a brownish color. If you slept on your back all of the blood flowed to the back. Do not be surprised if there is an odor present as well.

To protect your clothing and bedding wear an overnight pad along with the tampon. If your sheets and underpants get soiled with blood pour Hydrogen Peroxide on them. Soak in cold water and peroxide before placing in the washing machine. This will take the stain completely out.

Be careful when wearing tampons most brands can cause TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) it's best to use an all natural tampon if you are going to wear one at all.

One last thing don't take the advise on this site so literally, find someone you trust, a school nurse, relative, or a clinic hot line, most people on here are jerks.

God Bless.

NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
brown blood happens on EVERYONES period,
its just all the old blood breaking off the walls and of course coming out your vagina.. if it happened while you slept then depending on the way you sleep [side, back, stomach] thats why it prob. wasn't were it had been falling in your underwear before.. the worst possibility, is that you inserted the tampon to rough, and this made your vagina sore, which wouldn't cause your to bleed brown blood, so thats out fo the picture.. just be more careful when insterting tampons.. you should also change your tampon right before bed, because you can get a infection if you leave a tampon in for 7+ hrs. I naturally wake up in the middle of the night, and i change my tampon. If you don't, you might want to set a alarm if you know your going to sleep in, for around 1-4am, because after those hours it might be hard to fall back asleep. The best thing on your first period is to relax! take a deep breathe and you'll get through it!

Yes, it is the start of your first period. I would suggest you stay away from tampons until you become accustomed to the ebb and flow of your period. Use sanitary towels to begin with, that way you are able to see how much you lose on each day, etc. As you start, it usually is a bit brownish and light, then it becomes red and the third day is usually the heaviest after which it eases off slowly until it stops usually by the fifth day. Don't be afraid, this means simply that you are no longer a little girl anymore. A normal bodily function...

NO!! You scraped your vagina up inside by putting a dry tampon in. It absorbed all the moisture and then you pulled it out--just like when your big brother grabbed your legs and pulled you across the carpet.

You irritated the skin inside enough that it bled. No big deal. It kept bleeding over night, and ended up in your undies--only it was brown (old blood).

Okay, now. There's stuff in the store called KY. If you want to try the tampon thing again, coat the inside of your vagina with this stuff, insert the tampon, and then, when you're ready pull it out, slowly and gently. But don't try this for another week or so.

ok first of all you shouldn´t put a tampon before your period, you can hurt yourself when you pull it out and hurt the neck of your cervix.
The brownish discharge is due to the ending of your period and it can happen at the beginning of your period too.
It is just old blood and it is perfectly normal, I don´t understand your question very good, but if your period came normally it is normal; if this bleeding was die to the tampon, you might have hurt the neck of your cervix; and that is causing some bleeding, but it is nothing serious, when the injurie hells the discharge will stop.

Good luck! ;D

The brownish discharge is more than likely OLD BLOOD... Blood changes from a red to a brown. In fact a lot of women have a brownish discharge after they think their period is over with... it's just your body getting rid of old blood. But if it would ease your mind more go to the doctor to be sure.
