No, I don't think it is fair. I agree that it is the parent's responsibility to make sure their children understand the world around them. I think it is kind of nice to have a TV host for kids who is not "perfect" it helps them be prepared for the fact that not everyone is going to look the same. It also provides parents a perfect opening for parents to talk to their children about diversity and disabilities.
