I agree, it's ridiculous. If it was that bad, he shouldn't have eaten enough of it to get sick. Sounds like a power-crazed cop to me.

It's over the top, in an honest perspective.
I'm all about quality control, but it wasn't like she spit into his burger or rubbed it in her armpit. I think there's bigger fish to fry out in the fast food industry. Why is it that a common citizen can't get someone arrested for getting food poisoning? I understand that the officer may have gotten sick, but putting that poor girl through the ringer doesn't even the score.

I don't understand it personally....
First, why didn't she make a new burger? She spilled the salt on it and tried to bump it off. Obviously it would still taste horrible.
Second, why did the cop eat it? If it's that gross, go back and complain after one bite.
All it will do is turn into a racial case and tie up the courts!

it is rediculus, if it was to salty, he should of just asked for a refund or something but things like this happen all the time, thats the reason that there are warnings on disposable coffee mugs because someone ordered hot coffee and burned herself but it should have been all comon sence. What is the world comint to, and then there was the time people were suing mcdonalds because they were over wieght and i think its just a way for peopple to try to make money over nothing.

I think that it was called for. Some punk kid thought it would be funny to put a mountain of salt and pepper on a burger. Well its not funny and if he was my kid we would have a little one to one talk and I'm sure that he would never dare do it again after I got done with him.
Also, it wasn't the policeman that ate the burger that press charges on the kid, it was a different policeman that decided to press charges.
