I live here in Vegas. I moved from southern CA, lived there for 30yrs. I am sooooooooo glad to be out!!!! Housing is cheaper, jobs are really good here. Low unemployment!!!!! Hardly any traffic, compared to CA!!! LOL Very little smog!!!!!

Well, my adult kids live in Vegas. One is married with 2 kids and his job can cover their cost of living, his wife is stay at home and they get by. But they want to move to California to be closer to their dad (my hubby). The other son wants to move here to get out of Vegas too for the same reason.
I had a friend who moved to Vegas and had a kid and decided Vegas was no place to raise a child and moved to Iowa.
That's just 3 anecdotes, but they all say the same thing. And all of them complain about the tourists and the crime. Driving is not fun there, but you're probably used to that with living in So. Cal. :)

Yes if your not a compulsive gambler and can find the work you do in your field. Las Vegas is a great place to live if you can stand the heat in the summer. Henderson, next to LV is nice and reasonably priced.

you think california is expensive??? vegas is so much more. everything. what are you talking about. and las vegas doesnt have any beaches like cali. and its scorching hot here. i advise you not to move. im wanting to move out of vegas. the cost of living is toooooooooo much

las vegas attracts many tourist bec of the casinos and huge hotels. get out of the strip and you have an ordinary city. depends on what you're after.

Go for it, I did but I couldn't stand the heat during the summer but otherwise I loved being able to just drive to the strip (if and when I wanted to)
Summerlin, Henderson, Green valley are nice areas to live

Depends on what you want to do, Las Vegas is a popular retirement destination and if you're looking to get into the Hotel casino business its a wise choice. I understand its also a good place for aspiring pimps.

No dont move!! I lived in So. Cal. for the longest time and it compared to Vegas is heaven.......Vegas is dirty and full of weirdos, as So. Cal. but Vegas brings out the worst of them all!
Stay in So. Cal. and move to San Diego!

any move from California to anywhere is a good move..
why anyone other then a bonehead would want to live in that socialistic state with outrageous taxes and a good portion of people who flat out dont care about this country is the real mystery
