My baby just started eating solid foods which makes me just a little nervous and unsure on what is safe to feed her. I would like to be able to give her a variety. I also want her to develop healthy eating habits so what i feed her i want it to be healthy. So i guess my question is, any ideas on safe healthy foods i can feed her?

Cheerios's, soft fruit like banana's cut into tiny pieces, the inside of grapes cut up with no peel, soft cooked carrots, and they always have those dinners at the store for kids just starting out. Everything is precut and good for them nutritionally speaking. Good Luck......

Any of the gerber foods in the baby section, carrots are good my son loves those also any of the other soft veggies peas and greenbeans (the fatter ones) mash them if you feel, mashed potatoes, bananas or peaches, pastas, just make sure everything is cut small so your child wont choke also if you are scared test it out and see how she does and if she does choke just remember don't panic stick your finger in her throat and she will puke it up. Just remember don't pat the back because a lot of parents panic and don't think and patting the back can lodge it more. I have had to stick my finger down my son's throat a few times because he thinks he can stick a whole chicken tender in his mouth.. lol they don't know better but anything mushy or really soft should be fine. Good Luck.

My 8 mo. old eats stage 2 and 3 baby foods, as well as mashed potatoes, applesauce, pudding, etc. He also enjoys Gerber graduates puffs and crackers. They dissolve in their mouths to reduce choking. I usually let him try whatever I am eating if it is soft and not likely to choke him. For example, if we are having baked beans with dinner, I will give him some too, I just mash them up for him.

THE BEST ADVISE I CAN GIVE YOU IS TO INTRODUCE NEW FOODS TO YOUR BABY SLOWLY. START WITH MAYBE BANANAS AND CONTINUE WITH JUST THAT FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS THEN INTRODUCE SOMETHING NEW. THIS WILL ENSURE ANY ALLERGIES WILL BE CAUGHT. THIS WILL ALLOW YOUR BABIES DIGESTIVE TRACT WILL DEVELOPE.
