Its hard for me to be a Democrat sometimes. Every time I turn on the TV or the radio...someone is calling us defeatists, unAmerican, traitors, socialists, etc. Look after the Bush-Kerry election I thought that the democrats felt it was time to move to the middle-demonstrate that we were a party of veterans, a party who embraced religion, who supported our troops, etc. etc. but why is our party leaning so far to the left-why are our candidates embracing websites like Daily Kos and Moveon.org. We will not win middle America, mainstream Americans, normal Americans, if we don't move to the middle. A party that embraces all people, all views not the party of exclusion or hyprocracy. Yes we won over the Congress and the House-but we won with moderate Democrats like John Tester, Jim Webb, etc. I am a moderate Democrat...I believe in God, I suppport our troops, I want peace-I know war is sometimes necessary, I want us to win in Iraq- I love my country!

If this report come out and it says we have made some progress-what are some Democrats going to do-discredit it. Yes if you fill the streets of Baghdad with troops of coarse violence will go down-I know. But we a killing the bad guys-the terrorists-is that not a good thing. I sometimes think of the troops-I know how hard they fight-how they must be feeling about all this. I know war can be very ugly-I know they may do thing over there that we may no understand-I struggle with the morality of war- a person who believes in God fighting in a war. How do we end this war-when will we be able to trust politians? We have a president that told us we needed to go to Iraq-because they had WMDs-they didn't-we are fighting in a country that its people are more loyal to their religion, their religious leaders-than their flag-their country. In Iraq-without a plan to withdrawal-success is uncertain regarding the politicians in Iraq-terrorist are now flocking to kill our troops. What is success?

With those views, I don't even see how you can vote democrat, they stand against everything your for. I think your a left leaning republican. You probably have opposing views on abortion, gay rights, and the death penalty. Which a lot of republicans do, that is why those viewpoints haven't gained much ground.

You will either have to take your party back or leave it. The Democratic Party is not the same party it was. They publically say the war is lost, demoralize the troops, and today Moveon.org has called General Petraeus, General Betray Us.

They are about 2 steps from calling the US military babykillers and spitting on them again.

The Republicans aren't much better losing thier base and having out of control spending, but Osama Bin Laden is SIDING with the Democrats. That screams something is wrong with them, to me.

when you turn 18, move to NY and do NOT come back, unless it is Christmas. Only then will most people stop complaining about complaints. sorry, that was just a joke. The best you can do is go along with them and joke with them about obama being a douche (which he obviously is not). I would say your best bet would be to get yourself a high GPA, and getting into one of the more liberal states. I would reccomend california, but the UC system is totally impacted. New England would be a far easier place to get into school. As to dealing with stupid teenagers who flap their mouths about **** they don't know anything about, and shoot their guns at animals all day long? You can wait for time to pass, or you can wait for time to pass. Also, you are not improving my already terrible opinion of Texas.

Not really - I take my beliefs and then listen to what the Republicans want us to believe which makes me stay with my political party. We need change that will bring back the middle class people. With the Republican Party we only have the rich and poor & the middle class will be completely eliminated within a short period of time.

Be proud to be a Democrat. Remember stick with your beliefs. They are trying to wear you down, to make you succumb to their will. Don't let them. Be strong and stick to your convictions. Vote your conscience whatever it is. People like Karl Rove et al would like a one party system like in a Communist or Fascist country. Don't let them get away with it.

Go out and recruit others for the Democratic party. With the current Administration and some of the scandals plaguing the GOP.

Maybe you are not a Democrat in the true sense. Todays Democrats are going further left, and that is the problem a lot of people have with them.

Read, learn, feel a full life and don't let the bast@@ds get you down. Hate is usually expressed by unsatisfied and frutrated people, or, in the media's case, to get the disenfranchised a way to fit in, and, get dollars from advertisers...
