First, they were "totally innocent" and no way did they do anything wrong...not the two angels.
Then after a short while, when the story didn't quite add up, ok, they were neglectful but still, they were completely innocent.
Then, it was without a shadow of a doubt, Murat.
When it comes to the McCanns being suspects though, noooo, INNOCENT!
Now, they are "being framed" by the portugese police because there are huge discrepancies with their stories and there have been VERY strong implications that the blood found was in fact Maddys(78% chance I believe it was?)
Set up? the portugese police have the world watching their investigation so their genius plan is to set the McCanns up? I suppose they planted the DNA in the car? and in the room aswell? All just so they could set Kate and Gerry up (risking all their jobs) and make up a huge conspiracy???
Has it seriously never even crossed the mind of any of the supporters that they just might have had something to do with it?

lol i completely agree, now i'm very anti-McCann and i do have my suspicions they accidently killed her but AT LEAST i can, and most of the anti's can put our hands up and admit we're not 100% sure, yet the pro's think they are innocent - end of! come on people, let us have our own opinions but realise that no-one knows if McCanns are 100% guilty AS WE DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE 100% INNOCENT! you can't just say their innocent and thats that - what if they did kill maddie??? how can you be 100% sure they didn't kill her??
as for the portugese police "framing" them - as if!!! the forensic tests were carried out by ENGLISH police and sent to Birmingham, ENGLAND to be tested so why are the portugese police being blamed???

No it probably wouldn't have crossed the minds of anybody who knows this couple that they might have had something to do with it because:
1). There was no evidence that they were ever anything less than loving parents who'd tried for children for five years before getting Maddie and who made a dreadful mistake by leaving their children alone even though they were (reportedly) only a minute away and checking on them regularly. There have been no witnesses come forward to say they ever heard one of the parents voices raised in anger much less witness a spanking or even a scolding. They were not some i(mproverished and stressed family living on their nerves on an inner-city sink estate but a couple of doctors on a relaxed family holday. It is very hard to believe that a GP would give her child any sedative, let alone 'too much' sedative as the police are (reportedly) suggesting.
2). What's more, no corpse has been found. In spite being visitors in a foreign country, in spite of a huge search and investigation, in spite of reporters following them wherever they went, they are seriously supposed to have kept this child's corpse hidden and then, more than three weeks later, transported this decomposing body unseen in a hired car and hidden somewhere else.
3). The parents have (reportedly) fully co-operated with the police from the outset and in fact have done whatever they can to keep the case in the public eye instead of letting things go quiet as they usually do in cases of missing children. Is that what killers do - try to get as much publicity as possible?
4). The reports about what has been found in a car they hired more than three weeks after Maddie's disappearance have been nothing if not contradictory but what seems to be agreed that it was microscopic. And yet people are concluding that it was, indeed, Maddie's blood and that this constitutes 'proof' that Maddie was murdered by one or both parents even though there are many other possible ways that Maddie's DNA could have found its way into the car.
Personally, I would need a lot more hard evidence to convince me of the likelihood that the McCanns were involved in any foul play and those of you who have made up your minds on so little should be ashamed of yourselves.

Many parents have been charged with the murder of their children, so why should the Mc Cann's be any different? Just because they're doctors, doesn't mean that they didn't have something to do with Maddy's death. Some people find it easier to stick their head in the sand & ignore the facts as they are presented to the media. Why would the Portugese police want to set the McCanns up?

the ones in the tapas bar know the truth and mostlikely where maddie is being hidden or her body dumped also i wouldm assume that the family know what has happened and are running scared thats why the mccanns ran home whilst they still could because they know the police are right or partly right
the family and friends of the mccanns also know that the mccanns have just pulled of one of the greatest cons of all time and if they are found guilty they are prob worried that they are found out the family and friends would be implicated in the whole con as they all helped out in one way or another

Mollymac:
Why should we be ashamed of ourselves?
I tell you who should be ashamed - the McCanns, for leaving toddlers alone like that at night.
As for their fidelity - they are such devoted Catholics, right? Ask the Pope what he thinks about IVF treatment.
Tell me about this McCann "checking routine" Kind of failed May 1st when Mrs Fenn who lives above the McCann's apartment heard a child from below crying for Daddy between 10:30pm and 11:45 pm.
Tell me anytime the timings that the McCanns have told us about that night have been the same two times running?
Why are the McCanns wanting to use the fund to pay for their defence? It wasn't set up for that.
Tell me why Kate really washed CuddleCat.
Tell me why Gerry writes a blog, a blog that sounds like his missing child interferes with telling us about his and hers jogging times?
Why has Gerry now said "We have played no part in the disappearance of our lovely daughter Madeleine." - disappearance note, not abduction anymore.
I know who should be ashamed all right.

I agree with the earlier answer of the moon landing. My friends all think I am nuts for not believing we did it. My question is: The technology was FAR inferior in 1969 than it is today. (Think of what computers were at that time.) Yet, NASA says we are still 10 years away from sending another manned spacecraft to the moon. Huh ?

I have stopped answering questions on this subject after I was reported for my views, but after reading yesterdays paper I find it odd that, now they are suspects, they now feel the need to come back to Britain!! odd that isn't it, surely they know that this looks guilty to anyone with half a brain.
I am not saying they killed their daughter, but they are guilty of something

There were top UK detectives listening in on the interviews from another room. They had their lawyer with them during the interview and any lawyer worth his salt would have intervened if there was any foul play on the part of the PJ. The whole interviews will have been taped and written so it would all be there for anyone to check. And still this pair are trying to put the blame on to someone else (something they are experts at)

What 'blood' in the car?
Where did you all read there was ever blood found in the car. For the millionth time, check your facts.
It was a DNA sample that was found, simply a hair, or a flake of skin and could have been passed on by Madeleine having previously touched a suitcase or bag that was later put in the boot during the families move.
Not exactly damning evidence. In fact....where is the evidence?
If they did it, they would be in jail, not in the UK.
The police are clutching at straws because they need someone to blame.
It is a DISGRACE that these parents are being put through this living hell, and something needs to be done to stop it.
