Texas, Vermont and the third I am not sure of maybe California?

I KNOW Vermont was, I live here and Texas was I lived there too!

YES Hawaii was definitely a sovereign Nation under King Kamehameha and his descendants until the USA took over in a very bloodless take over and Hawaii was added to the USA. SO I guess that makes four. California was independent for about a Month from Mexico when it decided to join the USA.

The four states that were once independent countries were Vermont, Texas, California (for less than a month, but still) and Hawaii.
Vermont 1777 -1791
Texas 1836 -1845
California 06/14/1846 -07/09/1846
Hawaii 1810-1898

Texas. seceded from Mexico 1836
California same thing different time about 1860-61
i believe Utah was the third. not sure
and oh yes Hawaii that makes four so either Utah is wrong or there were 4 Utah tried to secede and there were some battles between the Mormons and the US army and finally a diplomatic arrangement by which Utah agreed they were part of the US> my memory is a little foggy. try looking up the massacre of mountain meadows.

As others have pronounced, this has been an self reliant us of a on account that 1776. there is no "American language", however maximum individuals talk what i assume you may desire to call Americanized English. Natives have their very own languages handed down via their very own tribes. i hit upon it kinda troublesome to have self belief this could be a severe question however.

Texas,Hawaii and maybe Rhode Island, ( something and principalities, which means it was to be lead by royalty of a prince, separate from a kingdom)not Massachusetts or Virgina , they where and are both Commonwealths (in fact neither are states to this day, they are commonwealths). Alaska was never, and unless your talking Indian nation, then you could say Oklahoma for a few years in the late 1800s, Florida and New England where colonies, so where the other 13 original states (10, remember two where commonwealths and one a principality). If none of them you sure got me stuped for now.
