One rainy day I sorted out all the old pics and had a good laugh throwing darts at them and then shredding them and used them as guinea pig bedding

You can keep them on your computer and protect them with a hidden password. Then you can feel safe that nobody will find them, and have the luxury of perusing them whenever you like and knocking one out. I do. I mean would. If I had any.

if you are truly in love with someone else, throw them out. No need to live in the past when you have a present to focus on.
If you are single or "just dating"...keep them if you want. No harm in reminiscing if it's not hurting anyone.

Kept them for a while and then chucked them as the kids were growing up. Didn't want the kids to find them. That would've scarred them for life. LOL
