I typically don't mind swearing as long as my son doesn't have to hear it after all he's a toddler and I don't want him repeating these words (they are the first words the learn you know) as far as the stick and stones thing that's not true. Words can be just as damaging.

It sounds offensive and also shows a limited vocabulary, it is not just a case of sticks and stones etc., record yourself and hear how other people hear you swearing

Apparently the C word was once not particularly offensive. In one of his books Bill Bryson mentions the fact that there used to be a C...grope lane in the City of London.

Swearing is intentionally used to be offencive. That's it's purpose. But i do find it offencive and unnecessary at times.
