Whats more pitiful is that he couldn't even play unless both Frye & Anderson got hurt! Crennel should've told them to fake an injury so that he could've played. Not that he would've done any better mind you.

Perhaps Romeo will promote him to #2 next week.

Steelers 34, Browns 7!!

Go Steelers, 5 TIME SB Champions!

I was surprised at that... All the hype about him signing the contract, then they don't play him. They needed a guy in there who was fresh instead of a washout like Frye and Anderson. Even though I'm a Steelers fan, I felt bad for the Browns. Looks like they'll be in the basement again this year.

Didn't Tomlin look good on the sidelines, too? *grin* I have tix to the 11/11 Browns/Steelers game, and I can't wait to see it!

Meg- Get Bent. The Steelers had 3 head coaches within the last 40 years with 5 Super Bowl rings. Cowher retired because he wanted to spend time with his family, we play in the AFC North (where Indy and SD don't play)... And last season, Ben was recovering from a motorcycle accident AND STILL WAS ON THE FIELD PLAYING. Steeler hater.

I heard the Browns were pathetic. Quinn could have played in the game as the 3rd QB, but Frye and Anderson would be ineligible to return to the game if Quinn entered. Does it really matter? I'm sure the Browns front office remembers how they messed up Tim Couch's career by playing him too soon.

I still say Quinn will start after the Browns bye week (their game 7).

The Steelers looked good, but they are expected to win 4 of their first 5 games. Their schedule is tougher after the bye week.

Romeo doesn't want him to get destroyed by the best defenses in the league at this time in his career. He's just observing and learning from the sidelines, that's all. I don't blame Romeo, who could win with the current Browns roster? I would wait to play a lesser team to let Brady Quinn come in and play, just to let him get some experience, then slowly bring him along until he's ready. I think Quinn will be a great QB, he's a football junkie.

It has always amazed me that someone will go on a smack rant with absolutely know idea what he's talking about. Why would any coach put their future franchise QB into a game before he is ready? But then again, logic is wasted on you, isn't it.

Its too bad that there is no way to separate the guys that know and can talk football from the grade school mentality fan that you represent. You sound like a stupid child that cannot think past a certain amount of glee fueled by your team's easy win over a Browns team that is obviously in a rebuilding year. You'd better open your eyes to what your own team is doing and wonder how long this downward spiral is going to continue.

Steelers may sniff the playoffs by the end of the decade, but I doubt that.

lol I don't like him but as a human being I don't want to see him die on the field. This would be the shortest career in recent memory. Possibly just 1 snap. Can you imagine your 1st snap as a qb in a regular season nfl game seeing a all out blitz from the steelers. That would have been horrible.

He will get his time this year though to play horribly and I can't wait

Woohoo, Steeler's beat the Browns. Surprise surprise. Is that really something to brag about these days?

Also, how does one go from SB Champs one year and the following year end up thrid in the division, not even make the playoffs, AND lose your head coach? That's horribly pathetic.

Quinn shouldn't go in. He would have gotten shell-shocked and ended up like Tim Couch.

The Browns suck, I will admit that. But since we came back in 1999 we've had 10 head coaches. How can a team become a cohesive unit when their head coach is different every year? It's going to take a while, but we will eventually get there.

I'm glad not all Steelers fans are as rude as you are. And I'm glad that Crennel didn't start him. I don't think the team wants to do to him what they did to Tim Couch back in '99.

I can't believe someone is gloating because they beat the Cleveland Browns. Wait till Big Ben actually is forced to play a defense such as Indy, NE, or the Chargers. He'll go from Big Ben to Big Bent real quick.
