Curtis Granderson of the Detroit Tigers being only the THIRD player EVER to get 20 or more doubles, triples, home runs, and stolen bases. It was SO cool! Did you hear about it?

Willie Mays was one of the other two but I don't remember the third.

Granderson may be the most under rated, or at least under appreciated major leaguer.. It's only his second full season.. he has two fewer extra base hits than Arod.. has scored 111 runs.. has nearly 70RBIs from the lead off spot.. Is batting over .300 and has done an excellent job (relatively speaking) of reducing his strike outs, 50 fewer this year.. Not to mention he's gold glove caliber in center field.. it's a rare a week goes by that one of his plays doesn't make the top ten fielding plays of the week.. And if you mention his name as an MVP, people chuckle.. especially in NY and Boston..

And seems everyone would prefer Sizemore over Granderson.. but look at the numbers.. Grandy is batting 30 points higher, has two fewer homers and three fewer RBIs (Sizemore has spent some time in the three spot since Lofton showed up) Grandy has scored 6 more runs, Grandy has five more doubles, 18 more triples, 2 more DPs from center, but 2 more errors.. Granderson has more assists and putouts.. But Sizemore has 11 more steals..

Eventually, Granderson will get his due..

Very similar to what Sizemore did last year. He was the 2nd player ever to get 25+ homers,50+doubles,20+steals, and10+ triple in a season.

seems like more people would have done this, i guess you can't count on getting 20 triples unles ur Granderson, Reyes, or Pierre. Pretty sweet though

That is pretty remarkable!

It's even more remarkable that it's been done twice before.
