my brother just told me the world is going to end in 2012! is this reali going to happen im freakin out...it has something to do with some calender, can u please reasure me that the world isent going to end then!!

Nobody knows when for sure the world is going to end...they also said everything was going to crash yr 2000 Y2K, and it didn't did it? Nobody but the Lord knows....

You asked this same question in another place, and I answered you over there. Please go check out my answer. I gave you a long list of end of the world predictions that were all wrong! People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of the world, and none of them have been right!
I'll provide a link or two here under sources. go check em out. It will reassure you. I remember hearing that the world was going to end back in the 80's because the planets were all going to be lined up. i was about your age then, and I believed it and then nothing happened. Since then, I know to ignore all such predictions.
Oh, and Rachelle another thing. I looked at the other questions you've been asking and a lot of them say "I'm freaking out". I'm a minister and a father. Out of compassion for you and all of your anxiety about different things, please tell your parents about your worries. Really. They can't help you if they don't know.

You shouldn't have to carry these burdens alone.

He's talking about the Mayan calendar. It doesn't necessarily predict the end of days will happen on 12/11/2012, that's just the day their calendar ended. They were a civilization in Mexico hundreds of years ago and did a lot of forecasting by the stars. Very intelligent group, but I agree with the people above. No one knows except God.

Sweetheart, stop freaking out the only "person" who really knows when the world will end is Jesus Christ.......earthly people and calendars can guess and go by probabilities but the ONE who made man, created the world and everything in and on it ...........He, Jesus Christ our Lord is the ONLY ONE who knows when the world will come to an end.

The Bible says that only God the Father knows. Not the angels, not Jesus and not your brother. We are just to be ready when it does happen.
To be ready you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Then you won't have to be freaking out.

NOBODY KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD IS GOING TO END,BUT GOD. I WAS TOLD IN 1994 THAT IT WOULD END IN 2000. WE STILL HERE. MY MOM GOT TOLD THE SAME THING WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE AND SHES 53. SO NOONE KNOWS FOR SURE.
