oh yes mri is needed definitely. and he may have to operate too.but at this stage cant really say.too early.
not to make u scared but ur kid may have retinoblastoma, its a cancer of eye. and it has to be operated upon. just hope to god its not cancer, but at this age and the bump it sounds like rb.and if it is ur kid may lose an eye.if u delay he may lose his life.
did ur kid hit his head somewhere?do u have family history of cancer?
read more about this cancer on net. and pray to god it is not.
wish u luck.

A doctor wouldn't just go around scheduling tests because he was bored, and I must say it sounds like you aren't worried at all. A infant with a large bump and swollen eyes is something to be concerned about until you know otherwise. Either way, I hope your baby is okay.

they usually don't do those unless they expect some kind of trauma to the brain or skull but seeing as a two month old shouldn't have a bump or puffy eyes, which they see in abused children hes probably going through with it to see if he has to start an investigation and if he finds any thing then someones going to be in trouble this is what happened with my neighbors

NO the doctor would not have scheduled that if he didnt think it was necessary..always have your child/ren checked properly for anything abnormal. Our son was diagnosed with leukemia 19 months ago.In your case it could be ANYTHING until then rest assured you r getting to the bottom of the problem.THE SOONER THE BETTER

He would be making sure everything is okay!!
My eldest twin, William, had a Mri & CT scan last week. It is the most painful experience to watch. The child doesn't get hurt, but my heart did!
