Periods are often held back because of stress (including lots of travel). They did to me.

I understand there are also blood tests you can have that are more accurate than the urine dipstick test. Something else you can do is have an ultrasound -- that will show for sure what (if anything) is deep in your system (meaning baby).

If you got a positive test then it faded, that is normal, you are pregnant. Get a clear blue digital, there is no lines to fade or anything, it says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" if you need the reassurance. Even the Doctors test can be wrong.

Either that or you were pregnant but have had a missed miscarriage, but I would get the digital test and do that first.
Good luck.

Sometimes your body has different ways of telling you things, I would see a OBGYN,because it could be a number of things. you could be pregnant ,with my second daughters home pregnancy test showed negative too and i went two months without a period and started to worry so i went to a OBGYN and come to find out i had a urinary tract infection which threw off the home tests, But on the other hand it could be something else.I am in the stages of having cyst on my ovaries and fixing to have a hysterectomy. So take care of yourself and see a OBGYN they can tell you what going on with your body when you cant.Wish you the best of luck with trying to have a child they are gifts from god.

I would speak with another doctor (female OB preferably) and ask for a blood test as this is the most accurate way to determine pregnancy. Try another brand of test at home maybe?

You should wait another weeks or so, and then do another test. If still no period, and negative result, you should see your doctor to check whats going on.

Re-test and do not read any results after 10 minutes
