My husband and I recently met some Brazilians. My husband is a huge (american) football fan while the guy from Brazil thinks we should watch some "real football". What team would be worth checking out?

The Brazilian soccer team that is the class of the Brazilian championship is Sao Paulo.

I am a fan of Corinthians, but they're not doing so well right now.

Others you may want to look at: Real Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona (all have Brazilian players)

In the USA, look at DC United (they have Emilio and are leading the MLS)

I'm Italian teenager and i think that the "real football" is the European football, and a bit the Brazilian and Argentinian football. Particularly I recommend you to watch matches of Italian Serie A(chiefly Milan, Internazionale Milano, Roma matches), Spanish Liga(above all Barcelona because is very spectacular)and English Premier League(chiefly Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United matches). I'm fan of the Naples, an Italian soccer team, and i recommend it too.

Watch Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A games. They
are worth watching and many of the Brazilians and Argentinians
play in those games. Watch Barcelona, Real Madrid,
AC Milan, Juventous, Bayern Munich(Germany). These are
fun to watch.
I love soccer/Futbol and I spend quite amount of my week end.

They're always like that between World Cups. They turn up for World Cups, but generally don't try very hard for other matches. Ronaldinho's loosing his touch slightly. Ronaldo's been eating too many pies, and is losing it very quickly. But if you look at the everage Brazil team since the world cup in 2006, it's included the likes of Vagner Love, Gilberto, Pato, Anderson and Gomes. They probably aren't their best players, whilst the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Robinho have said they don't want to play.

I would say Chelsea, because they are one of the best soccer teams out there. Also they are winning quite a lot of games of late so I would say they are worth checking, plus you would want to watch a game where they actually score some goals and that would be Chelsea. =)
