360. The PS3 is expensive and leaves a lot to be desired. (I love Playstation, but they really screwed up with this one...)

Xbox 360 over ps3 any day. Xbox 360 has way better games and halo 3 is also coming out. Though they say ps3 has better graphics than the 360 but who cares? Right now, ps3 is a complete ripp off only to be bought by peope who know nothing about the 360 console.

I don't own either console yet, but with the whole "red ring of death" fiasco with the XBOX 360 (I just read in Game Informer that as many as 1/3 of the consoles may be faulty), I'd get a PS3. Plus, I feel Sony will have the better choice of games in the future.

The Xbox 360 of course!!!!!, because it has the best graphics out of all the consoles. Also the Xbox 360 has more Xbox 360 exclusives right now than the PS3. They include **HALO 3**, Gears of War, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Lost Odysey, PGR 4, COD Modern Warfare, GTA 4, Strangehold, Guitar Hero 3, Beautiful Katamari, Eternal Sonata, Naruto Rise of a Ninja, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Madden NFL 08, Tony Hawks Proving Ground, Kameo, harry Potter and the order of the phoenix, The Orange Box, Rock Band and a whole lot of other ones.

With Launch of the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s online gaming service, Xbox Live went through a major upgrade adding a basic non-subscription service, Silver, to its established premium subscription service, Gold. Xbox live silver is free of charge and allows users to create a user profile, join on message boards, access Xbox Live Arcade and Marketplace and talk to other members. An Xbox Live Silver Account doesn’t really support multiplayer action, but some games can be played online with a Silver account. Xbox Live supports voice communication along with video communication (Xbox Live Vision). You can also purchase or download promotional content like game trailers, game demos and XBL arcade games.70% of users download items from the XBL Marketplace. Xbox Live currently costs $49.99. Since February 31, Xbox Live has over 5 million subscribers!

Pros and Cons of the PS3

+ Packed with cutting-edge tech like 1080p HD video output, Blu-ray movie playback, and surround-sound audio

+ Motion-sensing Six-axis controller has plenty of potential to deliver innovative gameplay

+ Built in Internet support enables free online gameplay, web browsing, and additional functionality

+ Sony’s strong first-party exclusives (Gran Turismo, God of war, Ratchet and Clank, etc.) will only appear on the PS3.

-Considerably more expensive than it’s competitors

-Lack of force feedback in Sixaxis controller

-Playstation Network is not yet as feature-rich as Xbox Live

-It’s tough to appreciate high-def visuals on a standard television

If you want console that is better fun-gaming and can connect to the Windows Media Center, it is better for you to choose x-box 360.

But if you want console that is better known by people and games that can be easily find in public, I think Playstation 3 will be good.

The Xbox.

If you just look at the hardware then the PS3 is the better device, but there are many many more /good/ games for the 360.

PS3! More and better games plus the graphics are so neat but do consider the price. You gotta know what games you want to play too.... I cant wait for the new Metal Gear Solid game, and that will not be coming out in Xbox360

Hello mate...

I understand that lots of people are now thinking: "What console is really the best?"

Well, for me maybe I will just cite the pros and cons of the both system and just judge for yourself in what's best for you....

In Xbox 360:
Pros:
-way more cheaper
-has XBOX Live community
-achievements points (w/c you can brag about)
-more kick-@ss games
-still supports DVD's (less cheaper)

Cons:
-graphics (comparing to PS3, but it's just a bit)
-overheating

PS3:
Pros:
-good graphics
-can run Linux OS
-bring new era of high-def

Cons:
-less good games
-pricier than Xbox 360
-bulkier
-uses Blu-ray (why use it? where in you can play the same quality with a DVD formatted game?)
