well, madonna can't sing or dance and since being on drugs and getting out of rehab neither can britney.
i would go for britney if i had to choose because she has been through a tough time over the last few years and it's not surprising she slipped up after going into showbiz at such a young age!

Madonna has done some classic things but she hasn't done anything well lately and neither has Britney so if they choose to be entertainers they need to be better at what they do at this time.

Neither of them interest me as musical artists.
I admit I like a few Madonna songs i.e. Frozen - I thought that was really good and unexpected. Also, the song she did for Austin Powers. Some of her more recent music has been alright as well, although I wouldn't dream of buying it.
As for Britney Spears, I admire some of her crazy outfits, but nothing else.
So to conclude... neither!

Madonna. she has been going since 1982 and has never been in rehab and the likes of Britney can only dream of her success.

I have always found Madonna to be a self-promoter and a bit of a phony. But when she purports to criticize America or proselytize on spirituality she makes me gag. At first her self-promoting success was admirable but now she seems to have bought into her own BS.
Britney seems to suffer from the "childhood in show biz" disease. I cannot help but feel a bit sorry for her. In some respects she appears to be "acting out". Or she may even be suffering from bi-polar disorder. That would account for her bouts of hyper-sexuality. Not uncommon among sufferers during their manic phase.

madonna... she actually has talent and a good voice, and the ability to constantly reinvent herself... I dont think she ever really tried to be a "great role model" for young girls like Britney did, she has been true to herself over the years and has a confidence that carries through all her work.
