At default clock E6850 is better in games but Q6600 shines when overclocked:

buy the g0 stepping q6600 its better than the e6850. for current games and apps the e6850 will out perform the q6600 but when they start supporting 4 cores the q6600 will slaughter the e6850

nicely, because you're no longer likely to be utilising multi-threaded apps, the quad middle is out. the greater advantageous cores might in basic terms be sitting idle. So it in basic terms comes all the way down to the E6750 or the E6850. If the E6850 suits your budget then its the evident determination.
