We live in all 4 of a 4-dimensional space-time. Saying someone is "from another dimension" is really a misnomer, even in the context of science fiction. What they really should say is "from another dimensional continuum". The early sci fi stories said it this way; it just got dumbed down over the years. What that means is simply that you can't get there from here no matter what path you take or how long you wait, even if you go back in time. Unless, of course, you have some special technology.

Usually, we think of the universe as comprised of 4 dimensions – spatial dimensions (length, width, height) & time. However, like “super-string” physicists, kabbalists hold that the universe is comprised of 10 dimensions. These extra dimensions take into account intangible objects such as consciousness, will, freedom, fictional and imagined entities, pure numbers, concepts and ideas, and spiritual, ethical and aesthetic values.

I would venture to say that we live in at least 7 of these.

Ok, in theory we could live in four dimensions (space and time), something could be happening in another instant of time in the same place (maybe), but we cannot see it for obvious reasons.
If you're not paying for this, you can say that it only exists 3 dimensions and I will agree, because there is no physical proof of the fourth; the relativity works for particles (Lorentz contraction, time dilatation) but it is really difficult to see in macroscopic bodies.
Theoretical physicist talk about the super string theory. The theory says (a grosso modo) that every particle of this world is linked to another, so all are binded in pairs. For my professors the super string theory is for people who think the world is super :)
