Its very overwhelming most of the time I think the better parent you are the more overwhelming it is because everything has to be perfect each day has to go a certain way or the whole day is thrown off.

Overwhelming as in being run over by a train! Yeah it is a bit overwhelming at times. There are days when I would like to hide from "motherhood" and then I get those sloppy kisses and sticky hugs and a lisped "You are the bestest Mommy -- Everhh!!!" and I realize I am right where I want to be. We all have "those mornings" Relax for a few and it will be okay... Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
Peace.

Yes it can be overwhelming and often is, but every time you win a day or teach your children a new thing in life the payoff is extraordinary. That makes it one of the most rewarding jobs on earth, but it may seem like a thankless job also. So sit back once in a while and just enjoy the noise and laughter .

When you go through all the "delights" having children brings
to a couple to the reality of "I've got all the gear and the right books" only to find your kid doesn't get a mention in the catergory you are frenetically searching for.....you have more friends in the overwhelmed department than you would ever dream of!

No dear, you are not the only one. Being a parent now a days carries a lot more stress (and scrutiny) than it used to back when days were more simple and you could discipline your child how it was intended without ridicule and suspicion of child abuse. Not only that but kids today deal with way more stress than we used to. Hang in there, your are a great mom.

oh, i'm having one of those mornings too!! my 1yr old cried ALL day yesterday (teething), went to bed about 3 am, thought she would sleep long, but woke up at 6am, just to do some more crying. (keep in my mind i stayed up till about 4am helping another child with a science project.) i thought she was in pain or has a temp, but if you just pick her up she's content. I can't clean the house, i can't cook, wash my hubby or older kids clothes, i can't even go to the bathroom with out her crying and having to go with me (ever try to pee while entertaining and holding a baby?). My yorkie puppy has even asked to go outside to avoid the baby, and she rarely goes out just because!! it took me an hour just to type in this answer because she is attached to me right now,LOL.....
Love her though and wouldn't trade her in for the world. God has a way of making us 'forget' these days, if He didn't we would never have kids. If He blessed me with another one i would be overjoyed by my fortune. God Bless you, i will send you up a special prayer today.
