We just purchased 7 acres in Copperas Cove and need someone to dig a stock tank/pond for our horses. We just moved to Texas and don't know many people and I've been searching online without much luck. Is there a technical name for this that I'm missing or a better way to find someone who'll do it? Thanks!

Go to your local farm center (like a TSC) and ask around, that's how we get things done here.
We get lots of things done right and cheap that way. Most times it's a farmer, that already has the equipment and the expertise to get it done.
Plus they usually have contacts for the accessory's, that may be related to your project, at a good price.

I'd look in the local phone book for a "Dozer Service". Then the ads should kind of guide you to which ones do ponds. Good Luck

look in the local paper, for some one that does pond digging or has a back hoe service,
if the pond you want is not very big, [just for watering ] then get some one with a backhoe,
