Its very annoying. Makes me shudder especially car dealerships!!! Its supposed to grab your attention. and make you listen. Thats also why they use a lot of movement and bright colors.

Ya know, I was gonna post this after watching regulat TV for a bit on Saturday night.
.
I figure it's to wake you up scrambling for the remote and the mute button. Helps keep the battery companies in business.
.
Also, to alert you it's time to refill your drink and hit the bathroom.

I do not know why but it is the worst. So you turn it down during the commercials then when the show comes back on you forget to turn it back up and then you end up missing what ever it was you were watching.

commercial time is when the majority of viewers jump up to do things, so in their thinking the up the volume on the adverts so that it will catch the attention of the wandering viewers and increase the chances of the person remembering what they are selling

this is something i've got been questioning on for years now ..... and that i do no longer think of this occurred interior the days pre-distant!! in any different case we could have been up and down like yoyos. i think of this is to capture your interest, besides the incontrovertible fact that I be conscious this is worse while the programme is initially an American one, so it could have something to do with the 'translation' from US to united kingdom? regardless of, I do agree, this is totally demanding - and that i'm continually hitting the mute button while they arrive on now, to be elementary!! My sympathies jointly with your sleeping childrens (with me, this is my sleeping hubby - besides the incontrovertible fact that for the period of his case, he needs waking up!! lolol)

yeah I hate that, I usually just change the channel on ads though so I don't have to listen to them. there's a threshold though that they can't go over.. thankfully.. or else they'd crank it up till your ears go deaf just so you'd pay attention!
