Maybe rental clothes will cast more than purchase for you. If you can find 'UNICLO' in Japan, you can buy windbreaker at the price of just about 1000-2000yen (10-20 US dollar). Is that cool, right?
And you can buy cheap windbrakers at some chain stores like ION, Jusco, Yookado or somewhere like that.

UNICLO means unique clothes, but the store deals with definitely normal, casual and stylish ones. It is a sort of chain shop, too.

Just go a workwear store in Japan and you can buy a coat like Japanese truckers wear for about 2000 yen.
