No dear, they only invite people who are "recording artists". If you are a female and aren't "cute", you can't get a record deal now days. No matter if you can sing or not.
Blame Madonna for Britney and all the other Madonna clones there have been. And the ones that can sing, such as Christina Aguilera feel they have to dress slutty just to be like Madonna.
Except for Amy Lee and Beyonce, most female singers now are a joke.
