Check the phone book and look under appraisers. Call them and ask if they appraise books. Then if they do make an appointment to go down there. If they don't, then ask for a referrral to someone who does.

Sometimes your local museum has book specialists who will do this for free for you. They're usually enthused that anyone makes the effort to contact them.
