I think it's too early to have a kid at the age of 12 or 14. Anyways what is the hurry to have a kid at the age? Olden day people like my great grandmother used to get married at the age of 10 and have a kid immediately after they have their first period but that doesn't happen anymore. Moreover a teenager of 14 is not capable of raising a baby!!!!!!

I will start by saying I believe in general that its irrisponsible for someone to have a baby at 12 or 14... but can we all expect someone at 12 or 14 to be so responsible?...

There are some advantages, biologically (well mostly physically) birth seems to run smoother at a younger age than for older women, but developmentally, (mostly mentally and behariourally) most simply aren't ready... not to mention other concerns, ie the father, other family, school, etc.... (most of which are social and/or family issues)

Oddly I'm fairly certain I've read that women who have had children are at a higher risk of breast cancer and theres other irreversible? changes your body goes through from having a child. Which means for some, when younger is the BEST time they get (if they know it or not) to have a child, normally...

But really I suggest you talk to A) medical professionals and B) others that have been in your situation before you make a move on this, its something I believe you really need to think through and you need to think about what you and your family are really prepared to do to support a child...

Good luck and I wish you well...

Do you think that a 12 or 14 year old would want to be grounded for the next 18 years? That is what having babies will do for you.

I knew a girl who had a baby at about that age. Shes 25 now. On her 5th kid. Heard the feds busted down her door a couple weeks ago. I guess she was committing fraud to support her kids because she had no education and she wasn't attractive enough to be a stripper anymore. Her kids are all headed to foster care. Her 12 year old is the one who holds the family together. Is that what you want for your children? Get an education!

No. They are just a baby themself!!

At 24 im finding it that i am not but im already 14 weeks in.

they cant drive yet at 12-14 so not only do they but a bigger burden on someone else someone else normally is doing all the dirty work for them.

how the hell would you expect to look after it and support it when you aren't even old enough to have a job? in these particular cases, the grandparents usually take full responsibility after the novelty of having a baby wears off. they usually end up raising the child, while you yourself are busy doing 'normal' teenage things, like go to school! the baby would be in school by the time you are even finished high school. ridiculous. don't be selfish, babies are forever, & not a desicion should be taken lightly. for gods sake you can't even spell "THAT"...
i don't think puberty should take place until 18 or so. its stupid that children are able to make children

No- at that age, even though their physically capable, they are not mature enough emotionally to be parents- and the grandparents essentially end up raising the child, emotionally and financially. When someone that young has a baby, it's really just another child for their parents to raise. Kids that age (and they are KIDS) have no right to be having sex then either.

No you have not lived your life. How can you provide for a child at this age when your not even old enough to work to provide for yourself. I feel like getting these young ones and giving them a good shake. Where is the get up and go in children that want children. Live life to the full first then have kids.

No, but if they're already pregnant I think they should see it through. Having an abortion would cause a shadow to be cast over them for the rest of their life.

That said, it's certainly not an age where one would be ready for parenthood. It would almost surely be necessary to either put the baby up for adoption, or have their parents help raise it.

most 12 and 14 year old's bodies are not developed enough to go through pregnancy and labor, and a lot of complications and sometimes even death can occur. 12 and 14 is way to young to be thiniking about making babies!! why risk your own childhood? you shouldn't even be having sex at this age..it is ILLEGAL
